Located adjacent to, and complementing, the existing outdoor pool, the new indoor Aquatic Centre, completed in 2001, houses a seven-lane, 25m, deep-end lap pool, learners and toddlers pools, spa pools and a hydro-slide tower with associated exit chutes. Other facilities include change rooms, clubrooms, a toddlers play area and staff and service areas.

Surrounded by mature trees and not easily visible inside the towns Rex Morpeth Park, the buildings curved roof form is intended to signal wave, and give the building a recognizable image.
