June 2002 saw the opening of the second primary healthcare clinic for PrimaryMED, called EastMED. It follows the integrated CityMED model, which has been operating successfully for a number of years in Albert Street.

EastMED is on the site of the old Adventist Hospital in St Heliers Bay Rd. A joint venture with Calan Healthcare Properties Trust, it provides rooms for doctors, physiotherapy, laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services in a new and professional quality environment.
In adding to the 1980s’ era Adventist building to create the new facility, ASC Architects has introduced a clearer, more modern aesthetic to give a fresh start to the new operation.
