ASC Architects completed a new music and drama building in 1998. The challenge of this project was to design a highly technically demanding building in close proximity to the dominant historic building on the site.

Restrictive budget constraints meant that we had to find ways of developing sympathetic visual relationships with the existing building by employing similar materials and geometric rhythms rather than reproducing the style of the existing building.
