The National Bank, Nationwide

ASC underwent several interior fit outs for The Nation Bank for over 2 decades, starting from the the late 80’s. Between 2006 to 2008, ASC Architects developed a refreshed interior design for The National Bank, and implemented this in six shopping mall locations around Auckland.

This was a key part of the Bank's strategy to fill significant gaps in its Auckland representation network. Our work took the interior elements we had designed for them in the early 1990s and updated them to the 21st century, but without departing from the quality look and feel of the materials and colours.

The incorporation of large marketing graphics to take advantage of the mall locations was a significant step forward in the Bank's graphic presentation. The new generation Banks were installed at Sylvia Park, Albany, Shore City, Westcity and St Lukes shopping malls, as well as at Blockhouse Bay.

In 2012 the Bank's owner, ANZ, decided to drop the National Bank brand and to concentrate on the new-image ANZ Branches instead. ASC Architects also developed the design fit out for ANZ following this rebranding.
